Week of February 14, 2000
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
IThe Commissioners approved out of state travel for Chief Deputies
Butler and Ponozzo and Pastor Paul Ellis to attend training regarding trauma
of law enforcement death.
11- The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Sheriff Wiester to
attend the National Sheriff's Association seminar.
ly i,2)3oThe Commissioners approved the request by Grant Mental Healthcare
for authority to set up a revolving fund of $1,500.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until February 15, 2000.
February 15, 2000
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Bid Award Recommendations-Tractor/Mowers & Wheel Loader, R/W-
Patton Traffic Signal, Bid Authorizations -`W' NE & Herbicides, Request for
proposals -Radio Consultant, Draft News Release -Gravel Road Study, 10:30 -
Bid Opening (Fuel).
The Commissioners signed the Request for Consultant Services for
two-way radio improvements. Proposal due date to be February 28, 2000 at
5:00 p.m.
1 q «;,)_The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Proposals for
Year 2000 Herbicide Materials. Proposals to be opened on February 29,
2000 at 10:30 a.m.
�;, 3The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on W -
NE Rd., CRP 99-6. Bid opening date to be February 29, 2000 at 10:00 a.m.
1 i_3_� U The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public
Works Director and awarded the bid for broom mowers to Carroll Adams
Tractor in the total amount of $218,052.00.
jq1645,The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public
Works Director and awarded the bid for one 3.5 C.Y. Wheel Loader to
Western Power & Equipment in the amount of $146,825.60.
I' 1 I -�a �- The Commissioners held a bid opening for fuel purchases. A motion
was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that
the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for their review and
recommendation.
'lw)-_7 The Commissioners signed an agreement with the Town of Hartline
for law enforcement services.
1 ; � The Commissioners signed a Quit Claim Deed with Ronald and Maria
Pennington, and George and Robin Ortuno for those portions of Section 4,
Township 19 North, Range 28 East W.M. containing 0.2806 acres.
f"f i; j As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 2/14/2000 in
the total amount of $756,969.87.
The Commissioners held a Public Hearing on the reverting of a
conditional rezone to Crawford Jones for the proposed Genie Industrial
Campus Project back to agriculture from heavy industrial. A motion was
made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that
Resolution Number 2000 -14 -CC to recognize that the reverter in the original
document has happened, which creates an inconsistency in the
Comprehensive Plan which will be addressed in the normal plan amendment
cycle, recognizing property owners and city's concerns be passed. With
Staff to provide findings of fact. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until February 22, 2000.
