COMMISSIONFRY PROCEEDINGS
Week of January 18,2000
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. with all of the Commissioners ire attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Response L etter, Resolution -Surplus Property, Bid Authorization, Franchise
Application Revisions, 11:00 a.m. Don Beckley.
1, ti ;; The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on
Fehrua,v L, 2000 at 10:30 a.nr. on the sale of a wrecked 1996 Ford Crown
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher
Approval # 12-1 through # 12-84 in the total amount of $63,461.57.
i -Slhe Commissioners signed a Special Counsel Contract with Williams,
Kastner & Gibbs.
� (_ �,jj'he Commissioners approved the request by Stephen J. Hallstrom of
the Prosecuting Attorney's Office ro carry over 2 days, 3 '12 hours of annual
lea-, e into the year 2000.
1-); ;r,> The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Sally F. Catlin of
the Assessors Office at $ i,944.80 per month.
, I Commissioners approved the salary adjustments of the Satellite
Program Managers, and Adult Services Manager of the (want Mental
Healthcare office.
l , .13111e Commissioners approved the salary increase of Patty Smith of the
Assassors Office to $2,172 per month --is the Segregation Deputy.
1,,, i; The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Pam Hit of the
Assessors office to $2,252 per month as the Data Coordmator/Segregation
Deputy.
',The C ommissioners approved the request by Grant County Law
Library to purchase a copy tm,chine.
t'ommissioners approved the salary increase of Rachel Cranson
Of the Assessors Office to S 135 pet month as the Exemption Deputy.
r,, The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Frank Roberge of
the Maintenance Department to full pay February 1, 2000.
I q i.;t, ),As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 1/18/2000 in
the total amount of $589,145.63.

, "/,/The Commissioners approved the change of status to full time
positions for Dawn McAllister and Jessica Hinen of the District Court Office
with a starting salary of $1,847.
;,�—.; The Commissioners held a bid opening for Grant Mental Healthcare
Office addition. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commissioner Allison to refer the bids to Vern Cummings for review and
recommendation. The motion carried.
p ; d ,/h, The Commissioners approved the request by Grant County
Department of Emergency Management for the purchase of a special
software program for the Emergency Alert System in the amount of $1,104
plus tax.
1,, `I 7 The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Arnulfo Garza of
the Juvenile Probation Department at $2,004 per month effective January
18,2000.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Interlocal
Cooperation Agreement among Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant and
Okanogan Counties to form the Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant and
Okanogan Counties Workforce Investment Area.
' The Commissioners received a petition to improve the safety of Road
N NE. The matter was referred to the Public Works Director.
The Commissioners held a Public Hearing January 18, 2000 at 3:00
p.m. and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Ordinance Number 2000 -6 -CC, Resolution
Number 2000 -6 -CC adopting interim development regulations to implement
GMA Grant County Comprehensive Plan using existing Grant County, land
use, environmental, and subdivision regulations be passed. The motion
carried.

I, in i The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for January 31, 2000 at 1:30
p.m. regarding the request by William T. and Mary Waites for a Plat
Alteration to subdivide Lot #164, Larson Subdivision.
P) �aa,^The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for January 31, 2000 at 2:00
p.m. regarding the request by Valentin Naidenov for a Plat Alteration for Lot
23 Donovan's Plat Division 2, Replat #1, a two lot subdivision alteration on
approximately 4 acres in the Suburban -2 Zone.
i.L, A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 2000 -7 -CC in the matter of
County Surplus Equipment Sale, be passed. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until January 24, 2000.
