Allison. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. (alp y The Commissioners were notified of two new employees at the Grant County Fairgrounds. Ronald Schick, and Porfirio Arellano. fChairman Allison signed the Certification of No Pay -To -Stay Program with the WA. State Department of Corrections. The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Chief Deputy Dave Ponozzo to attend the Forensic Sciences Crime Scene Technology conference. /y ..�s7The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Correction Officers Willie Rodriguez, Ray Harrington and Scott Myers to attend a Court Security Seminar. The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Sergeant Deb Shay to attend the Northwest Regional Transport/Warrant Conference. ht.y The Commissioners approved the sale of two motor pool vehicles to the Grant County Sheriffs Office. iy ,u,_4,o As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 5/14/2001 in the total amount of $960,426.20. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for May 29, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. regarding the Reasonable Use Exception request from Carla Barnard to allow the development of a 1.02 acre parcel in the Rural Urban Reserve Zone of Grant County. 1y_).(,6,,),The Commissioners signed an Agreement for Development Review Assistance with Dennis J. Cearns of TranSystems Corporation l�{�bG3 The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for May 29, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. regarding a 13 lot Preliminary Plat Application from the Chamberlain Family Trust on 87 acres in the Rural Residential One Zone of Grant County. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until May 15, 2001. May 15, 2001 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Interim Public Works Director regarding Gravel to BST Priority List -2002 and 2003, Landfill windbreak, Request to adjust city boundaries -Moses Lake/Gear Annexation, Fuel Contract Extension-thru March 27, 2002 w/North Central Petroleum, Well repair -Grant Orchards, Sale of a Motor Pool Vehicle -Sheriffs request, Personnel -District 3 and Landfill, 10:30 a.m. Bid Opening -CRP 01 -01,25 - SW & S -SW Rd. / /.) _,6VThe Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #4-1 through #4-208 in the total amount of $1,294,062.14. ,,,4,66The Commissioners signed the Auction Services Contract with Harold Mather, Inc. /'%,)The Commissioners held a bid opening regarding 25 -SW Rd. & S -SW Road. A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead to refer the bids to Public Works for their review and recommendation. 17 The Commissioners signed a Contract Extension with North Central Petroleum to extend the contract until March 27, 2002. 1'a. OF ) The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriffs Office to buy one additional vehicle from the motor pool. The Commissioners upheld the recommendation of the Interim Public Works Director and awarded the bid on Road 25 -SW and S -SW to Tommer Construction Co.Inc. in the amount of $307,003.23. i ,l m The Commissioners approved the request by the County Clerk to close their office to the public at 4:30 p.m. daily. I'1•�/'�I The Commissioners took action to provide a salary increase for certain County Elected Officials, Department Heads and other employees. /,,67d -The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant Mental Healthcare Office for out of state travel to transport an individual to the Veteran's Hospital in Oregon. t.�4, `) The Commissioners signed a Professional Services Agreement with S.C. Communications as a Public Information and Communications Consultant on the Columbia Basin Ground Water Management Area Project. w -7,/ The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for June 4, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. regarding an amendment to the Grant County Unified Development Code, Chapter 23.04, Zoning Districts, Table 5 Allowable Land Uses for Rural Activity Center Zoning Districts, changing Agriculturally Related Industrial Uses from a Prohibited Use to a Conditional Use in the Recreational Development Zone requested by Vincent and Carol Bryan. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until May 21, 2001.
