Week of September 3, 2002
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
qU,2- 0- The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Edward A. Owens
of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to attend training on homicide cases.
{4ls( The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Records
Specialist Dawn Campbell of the Sheriff's Office to Step Level III.
i /,;5, jAs of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 8/30/02 in the
total amount of $28,820.88.
a WAs of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 9/3/02 in the
total amount of $307,502.48.
u r ,The Commissioners approved the request for transfer of funds in the
Tourism Advertising fund in the amount of $20,000.
(-- , J 'The Commissioners approved the request by Grant Mental Healthcare
to layoff one % time Accounts Receivable Assistant due to changes in their
organizational structure.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Call for Bids -Landfill Cell Screening, Crushing & Stockpiling,
Reimbursable Work -Town of Wilson Creek (2), CRP Resolution -7 -N -E(.2
miles east of P-NE/Maintenance), Bridge Crew Positions, Quincy Shop
Update, ASPI Commerce Park South Short Plat.
-i A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2002 -129 -CC in the matter
of initiating County Road Project designated as CRP No. 02-29 be passed.
The motion carried.
1</,)�-J_The Commissioners signed approval of the Public Works Directors
recommendation on two requests for reimbursable work by the Town of
Wilson Creek.
)y (• �� ' The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on
Landfill Cell Screening, Crushing & Stockpiling. Bids to be opened
September 17, 2002 at 1:30 p.m.
AJ, -k� The Commissioners signed the Hold Harmless/Indemnification Clause
with the Port of Mattawa regarding the Household Hazardous Waste
Collection Event from the dates of October 10 through October 14, 2002.
///- ,'(,- The Commissioners signed the Payroll Pick -Up Sheet for the Month
of August 2002.
i The Commissioners signed the Hold Harmless/Indemnification Clause
With the Town of Mattawa regarding the Grant County Metals Drive from
October 1 through October 31, 2002.
/,(�/,1, /The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher
approval #8-1 through #8-66 in the total amount of $247,336.01.
i—(The Commissioners signed a Proclamation declaring September IIth
as Patriot Day in Grant County in honor of the individuals who lost their
lives as a result of the terrorist attacks against the United State on September
11, 2001.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until September 9, 2002.
