COMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS
Week of June 17, 2002
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the
Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
21V, -^ � The Commissioners received a Summons and Complaint for damages
from Alexander Trytiak, et ux, et al, vs. Public Hospital District No. 3 of
Grant County. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for
handling.
111 ✓ o i c-� The Commissioners were notified by Columbia Basin Eye Clinic that
the rental lease for the Coroner's Office will increase to $615 per month,
retroactive to May 1, 2002.
1 q l I o I � The Commissioners approved the request by Grant County Historical
Museum for the purchase of two county markers from Ballard Brass in the
amount of $340 plus tax.
�i, I ' ,)- The Commissioners received a Claim for Damage from Nicholas
Delay. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
/4,!111,1 -� The Commissioners signed the Agreement with Avista for the
purchase of office furniture for Grant Mental Healthcare.
I >-�'/-/As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 6/17/02 in the
total amount of $1,772,880.4 1.
H 11 I`> The Commissioners signed a Proclamation regarding Chief for a Day
program.
-syn It The Commissioners held a bid opening for County Legal Notices. A
motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Moore that the bid be awarded to the low bidder, which was the Columbia
Basin Herald with a bid of $3.36 per column inch. The motion carried.
14 101 7 A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2002 -94 -CC realigning
voting precincts to conform to new Legislative and Grant County
Commissioner District boundaries be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding an amendment to
the Boating Ordinance. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison,
seconded by Commissioner Moore that Ordinance No. 02 -95 -CC,
Resolution No. 02 -95 -CC amending Chapter 6.08 of the Grant County Code
relating to registration, vessel speed, expansion to overloading boats
prohibition and, other matters properly relating thereto be passed. The
motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until June 18, 2002.
June 18, 2002
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners signed the Investment Services Agreement with
the City of Ephrata.
,,q,y(, ),�) A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2002 -96 -CC in the matter of
initiating County Road Project designated as CRP No. 02-25 be passed. The
motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until June 24, 2002.
