Week of June 10, 2002
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
/y � � 1 The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Josh Sainsbury of
the Sheriff's Office at $2,578.08 per month effective June 17, 2002.
i,' >` qo The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Deputy John
Turley of the Sheriffs Office to the current Sergeant rate of $3,760.72 per
month.
f<i i )I The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Josh Erickson of
the Sheriff's Office at $2,304.55 per month effective June 17, 2002.
r -1 Y64 The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Michael Shay to
$5,231.60 per month as of June 1, 2002.
i^i z, 1`) , The Commissioners approved the salary increase of John Dazell of the
Sheriffs Office to $4,135.87 per month.
/<j:h9j fThe Commissioners received the notice of Separation or Work
Interruption of Diana L. Wavra of the Juvenile Department effective May
15, 2002.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Amy Sperline of
the Clerks Office to $2,037 per month.
A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2002 -92 -CC approving a nine
lot preliminary long plat on approximately 46.05 acres in a portion of
Sections 15 and 16, Township 20 North, Range 28 East, W.M. requested by
Robert Deleon be passed. The motion carried.
jy 7 The Commissioners approved the request by the Christian
Motorcyclists Association to hold the "Ephrata Extravaganza" on the
Courthouse lawn July 20, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The Commissioners received a Tort Claim against Grant County from
the Washington Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities in behalf of George
H. Allen.
y >`?/As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 6/10/02 in the
total amount of $792,443.57.
The Commissioners signed the 2002 Agreement with House of Blues
Concerts, Inc. for Concert Management/Development.
L �1_"ey The Commissioners signed the 2002 Spirituous Liquor Agreement
with the House of Blues Concerts, Inc.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was continued until June 11, 2002.

The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners
in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners received a fully executed Airport Agreement
between Grant County International Airport, and the Grant County Sheriff's
Office.

-')The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Mary M. Delgado
of the District Court Department to $2,103 per month.
'4+. ,(,Il The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Maria M. Anaya
of the District Court Department to $2,103 per month.
1q , Oc),; Chairman Snead was authorized to sign approval of the Liquor
License Application of Halberts Store in the Desert Aire Shopping Park.
1 If The Commissioners met with a group of citizens concerned about a
dairy in their area.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding
Local Agency Agreements on Valley Road, Valley Road Relocation, Bridge
#377, A -NW, Bridge #378, 9 -NW, DNR Easement -Jacobson Access,
Personnel -Engineer Tech IV -Redefinition, Bridge Crew Supervisor -Jerome
Wawars, Road District No. 1 Foreman, 10 -NW RID, Increase in Oil Price,
Placement of ad for work around the Moses Lake Area.
44no'(The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund voucher
Approval #5-1 through 43-176 in the total amount of $1,917,055.01.
/i/i/,,),')j//A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2002 -93 -CC in the matter of
approving, as a conditional use, mining and mineral extraction in the Urban
and Rural Heavy Industrial Zones, and on parcels already containing a valid
and legal asphalt plant requested by Maiers Enterprises be passed. The
motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until June 17, 2002.
