Week of May 28, 2002
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00
a.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding
session as written.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works director regarding
Initiating CRP No. 02 -22 -Valley Road (MP 0.75 to MP 1.53), Initiating
CRP No. 02 -23 -Valley Road (MP 0.00 to MP 0.82), 5:00 p.m. qualification
package due-BBCC Campus Parkway, Six year road improvement program,
Weed assessment tax.
)A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2002 -86 -CC in the matter of
initiating County Road Project designated as CRP No. 02-22 be passed. The
motion carried.
;' ; A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by
Commissioner Moore that Resolution Number 2002 -87 -CC in the matter of
initiating County Road Project designated as CRP No. 02-23 be passed. The
motion carried.
/ The Commissioners received a Claim against Grant County from Lyle
Barger. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation of
Tess Grant of the District Court Department.
/ ;/, % The Commissioners approved the request by the Cooperative
Extension Office for the salary increase to Bonnie Bright of $2,114, per
month, effective June 1, 2002.
The Commissioners approved Temporary Professional Privilege status
to Barbara Crosby ARNP, at Grant Mental Healthcare while completing her
clinical experience at the Agency.
4',/ The Commissioners received a Claim against the County from the
Washington Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities. The matter was referred
to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
/y3?�,., As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 5/28/02 in the
total amount of $273,038.59.
3,jk�,Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the Special Services
Agreement with New Horizon Computer Learning Center of Spokane.
143967 The Commissioners held a Closed Record Public Hearing regarding
the Paul and Beatrice Johnson Re -plat request in Desert Aire 41, lots 42 and
43. A motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by
Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 2002 -88 -CC upholding the
Planning Commission recommendation to approve the replat with findings
and conditions as provided by the Planning Department, with condition 11
as amended be passed. The motion carried.
i// 3y6 � The Commissioners held a Closed Record Public Hearing regarding
the Chamberlain Family Trust Re -plat request in Desert View Acres. A
motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner
Moore that Resolution Number 2002 -89 -CC upholding the Planning
Commission recommendation to approve the replat with findings and
conditions as provided by the Planning Department be passed. The motion
carried.
// 3�'%The Commissioners approved out of state travel for an employee of
Grant County PARC to travel to Idaho on June 3, 2002 for the Reconnecting
Youth Grant.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the
month of May in the amount of $300,751.69.
7Tll The Commissioners appointed Mary Allen, as the E91 1 Coordinator
for Grant County.
/43Z,,4The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher
Approval #5-1 through #5-83 in the total amount of $536,812.91.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session
was adjourned until June 3, 2002.
